INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pound ground turkey, chicken or beef
- 1 green pepper - chopped
- 1 large yellow onion - chopped
- 1 large sweet potato - peeled and cubed
- 2 14oz cans diced tomatoes with chili's
- 1 12 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 heaping tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon dried chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon ground garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In large skillet brown the ground turkey or beef
- Drain any accumulated fat and place meat into slow cooker
- Add all the veggies back to the skillet and sauté until tender.
- Add veggie mixture to slow cooker
- Add all remaining ingredients.
- Give a good stir and set at low for 5 hours.
- Taste for seasoning - adjust. Serve with fresh avocado.
