Tinolang Tahong (Ginger Mussels)



INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 kilo of cleaned tahong or mussels
  • 1 ½ cup of Sprite soda
  • 2 thumbs of ginger crushed
  • 2 pcs onions sliced
  • 1 head of garlic crushed
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper powder to taste


INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. In a wok, heat the cooking oil. 
  2. Sauté the garlic, onion and ginger, and the mussels to simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. 
  3. Pour in the soda and boil for 5 to 10 minutes.
  4. Add salt and pepper powder to taste. Remove from heat.
  5. Serve and enjoy your mussels cooked in ginger mussels or tinolang tahong in Tagalog!
