- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into small pieces
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup corn starch plus 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp crushed red chili pepper
- 1 tbsp rice wine
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- pepper
- oil for deep frying
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp water
- 5 tbsp brown sugar
- zest of 1 orange
- zest of one lemon
- 4 tbsp white vinegar
- juice of 1 lemon
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Mix beaten egg, salt and pepper in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix 3/4 cup corn starch and flour, stir in water.
- Then add the flour mixture to the egg mixture.
- Add the chicken and stir to coat.
