INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm water, More if necessary
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning, Optional
- 8 pieces cheese strings
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 red onion, cut into long strips
- 1 bell pepper, cut into long strips
- black olives, sliced
- Jalapeño peppers, sliced
- 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Add yeast to warm water with sugar. and cover it with a lid. set aside for 5 minutes. Yeast will look creamy.
- In a large bowl, combine all purpose flour, olive oil and salt. Add yeast mixture to the flour mixture and make a soft dough. Add more water if necessary.
- Apply olive oil all over the dough so it does not form a skin. Cover it with a plastic wrap and place it in a warm place. Let rest for 30 minutes until the dough has doubled in size.
- Now remove the dough to a flour-dusted surface and knead it to push the air out.
- Roll the dough into 1/2 centimetre thickness and transfer to a greased tray.
- Place string cheese around edge of pan; fold dough over cheese and use a fork and just press it lightly to seal.
- Prick dough thoroughly with a fork.
- Apply pizza sauce all over the rolled pizza with a back of a spoon.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on the top of the sauce and add all of your vegetables.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
