Ginataang Munggo Filipino Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups mung beans
  • 2 cups glutinous sweet rice
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 5 tablespoons sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Put the mung beans in a skillet. Cook until brown and crisp.
  2. Crush the beans with a rolling pin. 3
  3. Combine and mix the beans and the glutinous sweet rice.
  4. Simmer the mixture in coconut milk in a medium pot over moderate heat for 25 minutes. Remove from heat.
  5. Add the coconut cream and sugar to taste.
  6. Enjoy your ginataang munggo! This Filipino dish is best served while its hot (some prefer to eat it when its out of the fridge or cold).
