Strawberry Poke Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 box White Cake Mix plus box ingredients
  • 1 lb Stra
  • 2 packages (3 oz) Strawberry Jell-O
  • 1 cup boiling Water
  • 1 cup cold Water
  • 8 oz Cool Whip
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Spray a 13x9 pan with non stick spray.
  2. Make cake according to box directions.
  3. Allow cake to completely cool.
  4. Using a skewer, poke small holes all over the cake, piercing all the way to bottom.
  5. In a bowl, combine 1 package of Jell-O and 1/2 cup boiling water and stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  6. Add 1/2 cup cold water, mix well and slowly pour this mixture over the entire cake.
  7. Chill for 30 minutes.
  8. Trim and slice strawberries.
  9. In a bowl, combine other package of Jell-O and 1/2 cup boiling water and stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  10. Add 1/2 cup cold water, mix well.
  11. Add sliced strawberries to Jell-O and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes.
  12. Pour this mixture over the entire cake.
  13. Chill for 1 hour.
  14. Spread whipped topping over cake.
  15. Cover and refrigerate for several hours hours.
