Southwest Spiced Grilled Tilapia Recipe



INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 Tilapia Fillets
Spice Blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika

Southwest Spiced Grilled Tilapia Recipe

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Get a medium hot grill going. (Note: leave a cool spot without coals in case things get too hot!)
  2. Mix all of the spice blend ingredients together in a spice shaker container.
  3. Generously sprinkle both sides of the fillets with the spice blend and place on a grill plate or grill screen directly above the coals.
  4. Cook for approximately 5 minutes, then flip the fillets over and cook approximately another 5 minutes, or until done. 
  5. NOTE: The internal temperature should be 135° F to be done.
