Peanut Brittle Recipe


INGREDIENTS

1 cup of white granulated sugar
2 tbsp of water
1/2 cup of peanuts (with or without skin, salted or unsalted)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Spray a baking tray with baking spray.
  2. Add the sugar and water to a pot and stir until they are combined. Allow it to cook over medium low heat for 5 minutes until the sugar begins to caramelize. Stir for 30 seconds.
  3. Simmer for another 2 minutes stirring occasionally until light brown. 
  4. Add the peanuts in and stir them until they are completely covered with the mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture onto the baking tray, spread it around, and smooth it out. Allow it to cool completely. 
  6. Use a knife to lift the peanut brittle off of the baking tray. Break it into small pieces and serve.
