Afritadang Batangas

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 kl. Pork shoulder sliced thinly
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 pieces medium onions (diced)
  • 2 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 4 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 cup garbanzos
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 3 tbsp. Pickle Relish
  • 1 cup Banana Catsup 
INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Pan fry the meat in oil until slightly browned, then remove from oil and set aside.
  • Saute the garlic and onion in the same pan.
  • Put the meat back in the pan and add soy sauce, then tomato paste. Stir and cook for a couple minutes.
  • Add some water, and let it cook until the liquid is reduced to half and the meat is tender.
  • Mix in the pickle relish, green peas and garbanzos.
  • Add the tomato catsup and thicken the sauce with bread crumbs.
  • Serve with rice.
