Macapuno

INGREDIENTS:

  • Macapuno
  • Sugar and water (ratio: a cup water for every 2 cups of sugar)


INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cut open macapuno and discard its oily portion.
  2. Scrape its meat and blanch (put in boiling water) for about 2 minutes.
  3. Drain and set aside. In a saucepan, mix water and sugar. Make it boil.
  4. Put drained macapuno into the sugar and water mixture. Cook until macapuno appears translucent. 
  5. While it is hot, pour it into a sterilized jar. 
  6. Let it cool for a while and seal.
