Barbecue Baby Back Ribs Recipe

Barbecue Baby Back Ribs Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 slab baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup of your favorite barbecue rub
  • 1 bottle of KC Masterpiece® Kansas City Classic barbecue sauce
  • 1½ cups water
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Preheat the oven to 250° F. You will need a roasting pan large enough to take the length of the ribs, or you could half the ribs and use a smaller pan.
  2. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and rub the olive oil all over each side of the ribs.
  3. Sprinkle the barbecue rub over the ribs and place in the pan.
  4. Add the water and cover with aluminium foil creating a tight seal to trap the moisture.
  5. Cook for about 3 hours and then test with a fork. The meat should be able to pull away easily. It may require a little longer.
  6. Once the ribs are ready, using a pastry brush or marinade tool coat the ribs with the barbecue sauce.
  7. Place the ribs (meat side up) on a preheated grill over an indirect heat and baste 2-3 times with more sauce. Grill for about 10 minutes until the ribs are sticky and covered in a good layer of sauce.
  8. Cut into portions and serve at once.
