Creamy Tomato Pasta Sauce Recipe


INGREDIENTS

Tomato Sauce - 1 15oz. can
Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
Garlic - 2 cloves
Red chili flakes - a pinch (optional)
Heavy Cream - 1/4cup
Salt & pepper - to taste
Sugar - a pinch (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium size saucepan, heat 2tsp each of olive oil and unsalted butter. Add red pepper flakes, onions and crushed garlic, cook on medium flame until onions turn translucent.
  2. Pour in the tomato sauce, lower the heat and cook covered, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 20~25 minutes.
  3. Stir in salt, pepper and sugar. Mix well and turn off the heat.
  4. Finally add the cream and mix well to combine. The sauce is ready to serve now!!
