INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb. Large Shrimps (head-on or headless)
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsps. butter or butter-flavor margarine
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 cup lemon soda like 7-up, sprite, mountain dew, etc.
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. red chili pepper (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 stalk fresh spring onions, minced (optional for garnishing)
- If using head-on shrimps, cut tendrils off. Wash and drain.
- In a pan, melt butter. Add olive oil.
- Sauté garlic until brown.
- Add-on shrimps and continue to sauté until color becomes red.
- Pour-in lemon soda. Add brown sugar.
- Cover and continue to cook until all liquid are almost evaporated. Stir occasionally.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with minced spring onions (optional).
- Serve hot with rice and enjoy.
