Lumpiang Shanghai(Filipino Pork Spring Roll)



INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb lean ground pork
  • ⅓ cup grated carrots
  • 3 tablespoons minced shallots
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground peppercorn
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • Spring roll pastry, separated
  • 3 cups vegetable oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine all ingredients except pastry.
  2. Wrap in a spring roll pastry. For steps on how to wrap spring rolls.
  3. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown on all sides ( about 4-6 minutes).
  4. Drain and serve hot with a sweet chili sauce or ketchup as a dipping sauce. Enjoy!!!
