Filipino Pork Adobo Donburi Recipe



INGREDIENTS:

  • 280 grams pork, thin slices
  • 4 tablespoons sushi vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons kikkoman soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 pieces dried bay leaves
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 cups of cooked white rice

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Place the olive oil in a frying pan and apply heat. Fry the garlic until it turns slightly brown.
  2. Add the pork. Brown the sides for about 1 minute.
  3. Pour-in the vinegar, soy sauce, water, brown sugar, black pepper, and bay leaves, then mix.
  4. Bring to a boil without covering.
  5. Reduce the sauce for around 10 minutes while slightly mixing.
  6. Serve on top of rice. This recipe makes 2 bowls, so share and enjoy!
