Spicy Garlic Soy Shrimp Recipe

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1.  In a medium size skillet, add about a tablespoon of olive oil over medium to low heat. Allow the oil to heat for about 30 seconds. Then add in the minced garlic. Stir the garlic with a spatula to cook them evenly and to prevent them from burning. Cook the garlic until they turn a golden brown color.
  2. Turn off the heat and allow the garlic and oil to cool for a minute. Carefully add water to the skillet but be careful in case the oil starts to pop once water is added. Turn the heat on to medium to high heat.
  3. Add in the soy sauce, sugar, crushed red peppers, and paprika. Stir with a spatula to evenly mix the ingredients.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together water and flour until it forms a cloudy white mixture. Slowly pour this mixture into the skillet and stir with a spatula to mix the flour mixture into the sauce. Pour and stir to prevent the flour from clumping.
  5. Add the shrimp. Using a spatula, stir the shrimp to cook them evenly. Cook the shrimp until it turns a red orange color and no longer appears translucent and grey.
  6. Plate the shrimp and serve warm. Enjoy!
